IOIHAN Voice License Terms

These terms are an agreement between you and IOIHAN, LLC ("IOIHAN", "we", "us") for the IOIHAN Voice desktop application ("the software"). By installing, running or activating the software, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the software.

1. What IOIHAN Voice is, and isn't

IOIHAN Voice is software: a calling client you connect to a phone account you already have with a provider of your choice. We do not provide phone service, phone numbers, calling minutes, SIM/eSIM or calling credit, and calls don't pass through us. Your phone service, its quality, its availability and its charges are between you and your provider.

2. Emergency calls

IOIHAN Voice is not a replacement for a regular telephone for emergency calls (911, 112, 999 or similar). Emergency calling through internet phone service depends on your provider, your registered address with that provider, your internet connection, your power supply and your computer, and may not work or may not send your location. Keep another way to reach emergency services. Check your provider's emergency calling terms and keep your address up to date with them.

3. Your license

Basic. You may use the free Basic edition on any number of computers, for personal or business use, at no charge.

Pro. When you buy IOIHAN Voice Pro, you receive a license key. Each key lets you:

• use Pro on up to 2 computers at a time (you can move it by deactivating a computer);
• use every update of the edition you bought (for example, all 1.x releases of version 1), for as long as you like. A later edition (for example version 2) is a separate purchase.

A license is for one person, or one user at a business. It's a license to use the software, not a sale of it: IOIHAN keeps all ownership and intellectual property rights.

4. What you may not do

You may not:

• share, sell, publish or give away your license key, or use one key for more computers than it allows;
• remove, disable or get around the license check, or modify the software to unlock Pro features;
• copy, sell, rent or redistribute the software, except that you may share the unmodified free download;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
• use the software to break any law, including laws on telemarketing, unsolicited calls, call recording or privacy.

5. License checks

Pro checks its license with our store (Polar) when activated and about once a day after that. If it can't reach the store, Pro keeps working for 30 days. If a license is refunded, revoked or misused, Pro features stop and the software continues as Basic; your contacts, accounts and settings are kept. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

6. Purchases and refunds

Pro is sold through Polar (polar.sh), our reseller and merchant of record, which handles payment, taxes and receipts. If Pro doesn't work for you, email us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. A refunded license key is revoked. Where local law gives you additional rights (for example as a consumer in the EU or UK), those rights still apply.

7. Updates

We may release updates that fix problems or add features. Updates within your edition are included with your license. We aren't obligated to provide updates or support, but we aim to.

8. Third-party components and services

The software includes open-source components used under their own licenses, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md, which is included with the software. Your phone provider and Polar are independent companies with their own terms. voip.ms and other provider names are trademarks of their owners; IOIHAN Voice isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.

9. No warranty

The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We don't promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that every call will connect or sound clear.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, IOIHAN is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including missed or dropped calls, lost business, lost data or charges from your phone provider, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

11. Ending these terms

These terms last until ended. They end automatically if you break them; you must then stop using Pro and may lose your license without a refund. You can end them any time by deleting the software. Sections 4, 9, 10 and 12 continue after these terms end.

12. General

These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located there, unless your local consumer law requires otherwise. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement about the software. We may update them; changes apply to versions released after the update.
